Bildungsfern is a physical performance by performance collective de Markiezinnen (Gina Beuk, Hanneke van der Paardt and myself), especially made for the Performancebar at Theaterfestival De Parade. The performance researches the responsibility of the gaze of the audience and consists of multiple visual tableaus depicting young girls discovering their sexuality, eventually deranging into a chaotic high intensity dance-on-repeat, challenging the physical endurance of the performing bodies, as well as the patience and comfort of the audience.
